scrapper4life
I was planning to do distance learning videos for grade 1 phonics through BJU. But I notice that reading, handwriting and grammar are also included, for a whopping 60-70min video! Yikes! I only plan to use phonics portion and it seems like such a waste of money to get the whole course. Are there any other video phonics courses that include actual daily instruction? Even software would be alright as long as the lessons are taught with audio.
Vida Winter
My kids loved Starfall. It used to be free - not sure about now.

Peaceful Isle
We have used BJU phonics distance learning before. It's really not that bad. I would skip the journaling part though, for my kiddo. I also didn't always have them do handwriting. Not all the handwriting is done on video. Most of the time is taken up with learning phonics and reading. I personally loved using it for my daughter, but everyone is different.
