angelmama1209
My current 1st and 2nd graders will finish FLL2 by the end of the summer. Neither of them are ready for FLL3. What would be a good grammar program to do in the interim- probably at least a year?
Caviar
Couldn't you just wait, and not do any grammar for a year?

sunshineslp
I think if OP found it important to begin FLL in 1st grade (which is fine, I did too) she probably isn't interested in taking a year off. Seems counter productive. Grammar Land and Sentence Family are both gentle as well. R&S might work too. Homeschooling mama of 4... angelmama1209
Couldn't you just wait, and not do any grammar for a year? They are young and have a pretty good foundation right now. I'm afraid they would regress quite a bit. I would like something to just keep it fresh and fun for them. ELTL Homeschooling mama of 4... Preschool 3, preschool 4, 1st, and 2nd:) What is this? SilverMoon
Daily Language Review from Evan-Moor. Short, daily lessons that don't take more than 5-10 minutes each. You'd probably the 3 book though. I used them for grammar gap years when I wanted to put the serious grammar on the shelf for awhile, and my kids who'd only had FLL and R&S all did fine with a book a grade ahead of their actual grade. Another option would be Rod and Staff English 2 or 3.
