candleinaustin
We've been using a small outlet bakery also. This is the way to go, I agree! They also give incentives like if you spend 6 bucks you get 1 item free. Good luck!
candleinaustin
Wonderful tip on the laundry detergent. I've been trying Sal Suds by Dr. Bronner's for about a month. It is very affordable, but not as effective as I'd hoped. I'm going to try the homemade detergents on tipnut. Thanks!
Halftime Hope
Mekanamom, do you know if bread machine recipes work in regular ovens too? I also gave my bread machine to Salvation Army years ago, because the loaves were too small. RC I'm not Mekanamom, but yes the bread machine recipes work in the oven. I have a series of bread machine cookbooks and generally use my bread machine for the dough cycle only, so that I can form the bread and let it rise in a loaf pan, then bake in the oven. (I don't like the shape of bread machine loaves.) Having the bread machine do all the work for you, then call you when it the dough is ready is wonderful! hth
