Has anyone taken Diana Waring's approach and applied it to other programs?

Recommended Posts

I just discovered History Alive! and there is so much to love about it, BUT, we planned to have a late American history focus, and dd is already looking forward to using Beautiful Feet's Modern history. What I love about DW is the idea of sticking with the same body of information, but doing a high level overview the first week, an indepth/research approach the second week, and then an arts/sciences view the 3rd week.

I've toyed with the idea of blending the 2 curricula, but dd doesn't love the audio lessons for DW (says she talks too fast- I liked them) and the overall focus isn't what I was aiming for.

So, my question is, have any of you taken BF, SL, or another program and reformatted it to be more like DW? Any tips or tricks to share?
