runamuk
I didn't choose a geography curriculm at the beginning of this year because I didn't want Elle to be overwhelmed with work. Things are going very well and we're finishing our lessons in good time, so I'd like to add in geography. We're using Winter Promise American Story I for our spine, if that makes a difference in any recommendations. I'd like to keep our geography studies in line with our main area of study, but am certainly not against a whole world approach at this point, either. Lovedtodeath
There are a couple of great ones in the free thread. I'll come back later after I search if you don't find them.

8filltheheart
Why not simply map the different cities, states, rivers, mtns, etc that you read about in your history studies?
Lovedtodeath
Free geography curriculum links: http://home.wi.rr.com/penzky/geograph.htm http://www.americaslibrary.gov/cgi-bin/page.cgi To keep it simple we are going with this idea. I am still searching for others. _______________________________________________ Originally Posted by TwinMominTX We are studying American History thus our studies are concentrated on the US. I also know of a US States Lapbook at www.homeschoolhelperonline.com When I was searching, I had Cantering the Country and Kids Learn America mentioned as well. runamuk
the Spectrum Geography workbook, I found it at Borders. I've seen these at the bookstore but never checked them out. Thanks! Why not simply map the different cities, states, rivers, mtns, etc that you read about in your history studies? Good idea! I didn't even think of that. I guess I was so focused on having a curriculm that I didn't even consider doing on my own. I was having trouble locating the free thread, so double thanks. :)
