Lostinabook
If you have an average student who has used Notgrass Government, about how long did he/she spend on it each week? The authors say an hour/day, but I have no interest in having my child spend that much time on the subject.
Mom22ns
Ds typically spent an hour a day for 1 semester - .5 credit.
Lostinabook
Thank you! That might not be the program for us then.
MerryAtHope
Agreeing--it's a semester course (which is typically about an hour of work per day to earn a half-year's credit). It might not take the full hour every day but pretty close I think.
Lostinabook
Except for math & science, I consider a credit to be 120 hours or more since my local hs district gives students 1/2 credit for 60 hours of work in the summer. Plus, I remember high school--I may have been sitting in the classroom for 5 hours/week, but a significant percentage of that time was decidedly not educational, & I hardly ever did homework in non-math/science classes. Thanks for the feedback re: Notgrass!
