Vintage math books with most conceptual content?

In your other thread you ask about BJU.  BJU is a FINE math curriculum.  They updated all the levels over the last few years, and it's going to prepare them well for standardized tests they need to take.  Some people, when they get to the high school level, really want to try the old, 1960s Dolciani texts.  Fine, whatever.  I have one.  I think it's more important to have a plan you can actually implement.  BJU is a WONDERFUL math program.  You'd be hard-pressed to go wrong with it.  It's just a good math program that can fit a lot of kids.
