RosieCotton
We have a 5 or 6 ft desk up against the wall in the school room I want to cover with maps and cool things, and read about someone putting a clear thick plastic over the top of it and securing it somehow. Do you remember where to buy this material and how to attach it or have suggestions? I don't want it to be permanent so we can change out what's under the plastic as we want to. AMJ
Fabric stores typically sell clear vinyl, the kind often used on tables to protect an underlying fabric cloth or other items. You could buy some of that and use binder clips under the corners to pinch the overhang together.
Angie in VA
Jo-Anns has it. Be sure to use a coupon. There are a few thicknesses to choose from. It's back w/ the upholstery bolts (at least in my local store). We have a cloth world map under vinyl on our "school table" (which is used for games and eating crabs lately, lol).
