Heather in the Kootenays Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 My treadmill got fried in a lightening storm induced power surge. I recall reading on this board about someone else in the same situation who found the problem easily. Is that person out there still? Or does someone else have an quick fixes for me? yarrow Posted September 5, 2008 Share Posted September 5, 2008 back. After an intense storm, we smelled an odd odor from the room the treadmill is in and realized the smell was from the treadmill. It wouldn't turn on when we tried. My husband took it outside and took it apart. Inside was a little switch of some sort (kind of like a breaker switch). He flipped it and the treadmill was back and working fine. We didn't know about the switch without trying to get to the motor inside but it was obviously worth the effort.
