Is this apostrophe placement correct?

Yes. But the whole sentence implies you babysit her grandchildren. (And have been hired by her two children.) If it's meant to convey that you babysit her children, you don't need the "for".

Well, I AM hired by her two children to babysit their children which are Susan Smith's grandchildren.

Actually....no, I'm not.

It's a good thing I asked.

Thank you!

If you are babysitting for the children of the old alternative rock band it would be:

I babysit The Smiths' two children.

Although I have no idea if any of the band members actually have any children.

Actually....no, I'm not.

But, if I was it would be ok "as long as the hand that rocks the cradle is miiiine".   (singing a bit off key)  :D
