Suzanne in ABQ
In the past couple days, I have seen or heard reference to hot (steam) rollers. The ones I saw in use were at the homeschool convention/graduation this past weekend. A mom was using them to curl her graduating daughter's hair. Then, my dd told me that they used them backstage in a production she was in to curl one of the cast members' hair. I used to use them as a teen in the 1970s/80s, but haven't seen them since then. If I recall, they totally fried my hair. I'm surprised to see them again. Have they returned, or are people still using really old sets? If they're new, are they better? Or, maybe hair protecting products are just better? Just curious. . .

Vida Winter
Have they figured out how to avoid making a line in the hair (where clip touches curler)?
mommybee
I still have my set from high school and use them every now and then. It's fun for me, reminds me of how much effort I put into styling myself when that was all I had to worry about. I never had any problem with them burning my hair and damaging it though.
