Switching to Singapore from Saxon

Hello,

I'm new to the forum and am driving myself a little nuts trying to figure out what to do.  I have been homeschooling my second grader from the beginning.  He hates Saxon math and I am not enjoying it either so I am strongly thinking about switching over to Singapore.  He is almost done with Saxon 2 and based on the placement test he would start 2a in Singapore.  I know the way Saxon teaches is a lot different than Singapore.  Will he be able to switch over very easily to Singapore 2a or should I go back to 1b just to make sure he learns the concepts that Singapore teaches?  I hate to go back that far since being bored with Saxon is one of his main issues.  Any thoughts on how to switch over?
