aggieamy
I'm s/o off my other thread on what DD and I should wear on our three week trip. What about DS? He'll be 18 months old when we go on our trip. We are trying to pack as light as possible and are open to having wash done on the ship but would like to do it as infrequently as possible. If you were taking an 18 month old on a trip what would you plan on him wearing? It will likely be on the cool side. We have a Tula baby pack for him to ride in and a stroller. At home he wears footed PJ's all the time in the winter and a variety of outfits in the summer so I'm not too concerned with him being a fashion-ista but comfort and easy of packing. Mom in High Heels
We did an eastern Mediterranean cruise when Han Solo was 18 months old. It was warm though, so I could pack pretty light. I have friends who've done northern European cruises though with little ones. Fortunately toddler clothes are tiny. I would pack pjs, several pairs of pants, some light weight long sleeve shirts, a couple of sweaters that can be easily washed in your cabin (if necessary), a med weight jacket, hat and gloves (in case it gets colder), and probably warm boots. Socks, hats, gloves and shirts can be rolled up and stuffed inside the boots to keep from taking up too much space. We do the same with our clothes too. We pack socks and underwear in our shoes. Um_2_4
Last time I traveled with an 18mo I went to 4 countries with temp variations from cold to hot (northern Europe to Sahara). I would suggest one piece outfits and some long sleeve/turtleneck onesies you could layer under along with thick cotton tights. Yes my DS wore cotton tights. MY SILs in Europe provided them and they were for boys or girls. Those plus a jacket/socks/boots/sneakers would be good. I loved those soft cotton one piece outfits when DS was that age. If he fell asleep in it it was ok as they were so comfy.
