Cammie
Hive, A very young American expat child here is in the hospital with acute renal failure. (Daughter of a friend of mine). She has been diagnosed with D+ HUS (a syndrome of the blood and kidneys). This most often develops after an ecoli infection. This is so rare that we haven't been able to locate anyone here who actually went through it to talk to. I think it would really help to hear of some actual good outcomes from people who have gone through this. If anyone has had a child with this please contact me or PM me. Thanks! Splash
My daughter has atypical HUS which is a gene mutation that causes HUS reaction in the body with no bacteria presence. She went into hospital from August 25th until September 30th, 2012. She was on 24 hour dialysis for 28 days along with many other things and almost died many times during that stay. They originally thought she had HUS from Ecoli. Let me know if they want to talk with me.
