FaithManor
The boys are almost done with the play and discussions so we usually follow up with a movie if I can't find the play being performed in Michigan or at a price we can afford. No Julius this year, so we'll be studying Macbeth next because it is at the Whiting this year. We have Amazon Prime and Netflix, so if you have any streaming suggestions, that would be great! amyco
Our favorite is the one with Marlon Brando as Mark Antony...what can I say, I'm a fan...it's not streaming, though.

stephinsocal
Same. James Mason is a wonderful Brutus, too. Also check him out as Rommel in The Desert Fox--another honorable soldier seeking to remove an overreaching leader. As an aside, the Teaching Co. course on Dante's Inferno had an interesting discussion on how Dante's view of Brutus as a traitor is different from the Shakespearian, anti-tyranny view we're used to. flyingiguana
Yeah, Marlon Brando. But after Julius Caesar you'll have to do Streetcar Named Desire and On the Waterfront.... (But this in no way obligates you to watch The Godfather..... I'm not even sure why I watched The Godfather. OK, the theme music's good.)
