Jessiepage
We have been using story of the world volume 1 for the last couple of months with my first grader. Although we love ancient Egypt, I want something that will give her a good all around start on history. I am searching for a curriculum that teaches economics, our national heritage, our community, famous leaders, inventors.....any suggestions? Thank you! marynamo
We also use SOTW1 at this stage, my kids are a little older. Have you thought of sticking with the curriculum, the later books do address some of those issues you want to teach your child? We just love SOTW. :)
klmama
You could stick with SOTW and supplement the other info with library books you read aloud to her. If you really want a standard history curriculum, A Beka is very straight-forward and is used by a lot of homeschoolers. https://www.abeka.com/ABekaOnline/BookDescription.aspx?sbn=95311
