mamapjama
Time for a change. Ds does fine in math but needs frequent review for retention. I was thinking of Teaching Textbooks. I'm not sure which level to go with. There seems to be quite a bit of overlap between Level 7, pre-algebra and algebra. He took the placement tests and did well except for fractions, which as soon as we reviewed them (mult. / div. / decimals) he did fine with. Suggestions? weintz8
I would highly recommend staying AWAY from teaching textbooks if you are currently in Singapore and doing OK. Teaching textbooks does not go as deeply into each subject as most other curriculums and I feel that when kids are faced with more difficult problems they struggle. Don't get me wrong, I use and love teaching textbooks, but if you are just looking for a spiral program I would look at Saxon first. If the video aspect of TT appeals to you, then you can get videos to go with Saxon.
Momling
If you want repetition, I'd give Saxon a try... Probably 7/6, but do the placement test anyway.
