IfIOnly
Ds wond be doing the drills or other stuff, just the worksheets. Is the workbook fairly self explanatory? Thanks so much.
Kim in Appalachia
I like R&S TMs. They include a Review and Oral drill, that I think make the program complete. You could probably get away with not having it, but I find it hits little things. So I'm saying you could do it without the TM but that I think the TM is worth having. SilverMoon
You'd only be doing half the course without the TM. The instruction and teaching is *all* in the TM, and the workbook is the sidekick. The workbook doesn't need the teaching in it, because a DC has already worked through a concept with you at least twice before it showed up on his workpage. :) Fwiw, mine didn't use the drills much either. They learned their basic drills rock solid just from doing the main course.
IfIOnly
Thanks for the replies! I usually just unschool math until 3rd grade with good results, but I have an eager, worksheet loving 1st grader this year who really loves busy work. :) It sounds like just the workbook here and there would work to incorporate into his day. Thanks again!
