JadeOrchidSong
Ds9.5 has completed WWE 1--4 plus IEW Student Writing Intensive A. He is not ready for WWS 1 and I am considering another writing text for him. I have Jump In I also looked at School Composition and Writing in English : A Modern School Composition by Maxwell. Some people recommended CAP W&R . If you have used or are familiar with these programs, can you compare them? Can you share why you chose the one you used? Thanks! Free Indeed
I am not familiar with all the programs you listed. However, I have read here that several people are following WWE with CAP until their student is ready for WWS. CAP practices and expands skills using a variety of stories until they are ready to make the jump in thinking that WWS requires. I am familiar with Jump in, and wouldn't use it with a 9 1/2 year old. Haiku
School Composition is excellent. IMO it is a more interesting, more accessible, less idiosyncratic WWS. My dd likes it much better than WWS.
