Pegs
I'd like to study mathematics again. I was taking the most advanced course available at my high school, accelerated by a year or two, along with accelerated physics and chemistry. I expected to study physics at university, but life had other plans for me, apparently! Which is the best mathematics course available now, that I could study on my own? I'm after something with depth, as I'd like to develop my mathematical creativity (memory work and formulae are not an issue - they just don't inspire me). Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. :)
Julie of KY
Sounds like you might like Art of Problem Solving. I'm not sure where you would start. Take a look at their website and then ask more questions. AoPS is written to the student and definitely inspires mathematical thinking rather than recognizing patterns and formulas. It goes very deep on any subject so no problem there.
