mama jewel
I didn't want to reinvent the wheel in case it's been done already, but I'm wondering if AO's booklists have been correlated with WTM's. I've seen Paula's Archive's for the schedule of SOTW with CHOW (a bk used by AO). Or has anyone done a corresponding list of WTM's books with CM (Levinson, Gardner, Andreola, et al)? Alana in Canada
I'm not sure it can be done. AO history is an entirely different approach. I did see something on AO where the individual chapters of Baldwin's Fifty Famous Stories were laid out in chronological order (with dates). I have done my best to correlate Baldwin, FMMA and Chow to SoTW chapters (as well as a few other things we have on hand in the same vein). I assign them as supplemental reading. starlashine
We're going into second grade. I just did a chart for SOTW1 with Our Island story, Viking Tales, Scotland's Story and The Blue Fairy Book. Also Paddle to the Sea, and maybe another of the Holling books from the library, there's a place to write it in. We'll see how it goes. My son loves being read to, so I'm trying to do more of it next year, and I'm not good at picking up books from the library. I could send you the chart if you like, it would be a scan of a handwritten one tho.
Peela
When I was using mostly TWTM, I used the WTM books as my basis, and just added in Ambleside books as we had time. Now it is vice versa- actually, Ambleside is too full to add much to, though.
AuntPol
I tried but then decided I preferred Ambleside's six year rotation
