arcara
What kinds of labs are included in the Kolbe biology course? Are there microscope labs? Are the labs really high school quality or should we supplement if we go with Kolbe? Thanks!
momof2cm
There are virtual labs included, at least in the program I used 2 years ago. We ended up doing many of the labs mentioned in the textbook. We purchased the equipment from homesciencetools.com. It requires some prep-work, but we managed. And yes, there is a variety of labs in the book and they are high school level, not AP. Hope this helps.
arcara
Thanks for the reply. I knew about the virtual labs, but I really want my dd to have some hands-on lab experience. It's good to know that there are good labs in the book we can do. I went ahead and ordered a copy of the text from Amazon last night so I can look for myself and start planning. Melissa in NC
I did some dissection last year. It was very helpful to watch a dissection on Youtube first so we would know what we were looking for and how to cut open the specimen correctly.
