Tonia Posted January 24, 2014 Share Posted January 24, 2014 Just thinking ahead to next year when we'll do All About Spelling 7. For those who've used the series where did you go after that? I'm thinking it's time to head into vocabulary. My daughter isn't a natural speller but she does fine for her age (I think!). So I don't know if we should do something to reinforce spelling rules (maybe Megawords?) or move on to vocabulary study. I welcome your suggestions! Woodland Mist Academy Posted February 2, 2014 Share Posted February 2, 2014 We are using MCT's Word Within a Word for vocab. We have continued with spelling, though. We are reading aloud The Art of Spelling: The Madness and the Method (we're almost finished). We also always have an ongoing list of trouble words. It's a "nibbled to death by ducks" approach. I think it's common to move on to vocabulary, but we're using Latin and some literature study for vocabulary, so we won't be doing anything formal.
