Melissa B
I thought there used to be a very comprehensive link to summer camps on this site, but now I can't find it. I am looking for NON-STEM residential summer camps, specifically - graphic design, photography, economics, creative writing or botany. Thanks! OneStepAtATime
I can't remember exactly what is offered but doesn't Landry Academy offer some sort of residential summer camps? I know they had an art camp and maybe a law camp, plus their STEM camps. There might be others. They offer discounts in January, if I remember correctly. Trilliums
Do you mind your child traveling to the camp location? You could identify universities/colleges within the travel range you are willing to accept and look for high school summer camps at those institutions. So many are offered, but here is a small sampling from a quick search (we have looked into some of these but I am not sure on all the details or if they are all up to date): http://bealonghorn.utexas.edu/meetus/events/summer http://brown.edu/ce/pre-college/pre-college-courses.php http://www.ithaca.edu/summercollege/threeweek/threeweekcourses/ http://www2.education.uiowa.edu/belinblank/students/summer/ http://summerexperiences.wustl.edu/
Melissa B
Thanks for the replies. I thought I would add what I have found so far in case anyone is interested. These are residential programs. Pre-college programs (in my list below) are those that give the student college credits and are therefore $$$ (and beyond our price range.) Eckerd College - science (7th, 8th, 9th) University of Miami - computers, pre-college University of Central Florida - music, sports University of South Florida - pre-college Florida State University - music, sports, pre-college University of Florida - most info not available until next month Ringling College - pre-college Rollins College - computers
