Small Kitchen Indoor Garden- What to plant?

I have basil in a south facing window in our home. We love basil. It loves heat and sun. In the past, I've kept rosemary, chives, bay, and cilantro in pots through the winter. Now I have rosemary and chives that survive outdoors.

I find using a good sized pot helps--holds more moisture for a little longer so the plant is not dealing with flood or drought each week.

It's a fun thing to have fresh, green, and growing plants nearby when the outside world is cold and gray.
