You can access them by clicking on your name in the upper right hand corner and clicking "my settings". You just can't change your status. I think post count is changed on all old posts. I was eventually able to change my status but it was after reaching 50 posts. I can't tell the exact number. Click on your profile name in the upper right hand corner and choose "My Profile." Then click on "Edit My Profile" in the upper right hand corner.
