bpskowski
How do you say "I love food" in latin? I am putting it on a family crest for a halloween costume. Would it be 'Cibos amo'? Can you say 'Ego cibos amo'? I'm not sure of the ending on food or if this is even the right word for food. Thanks.
Generally speaking, food is a mass noun in Latin, as in English, so you'd probably want it singular: cibum amo. cibus, -i (masc) is a perfectly good, generic word for food. While word order doesn't matter, I'd put the cibum first, as it is the most important thought in the clause: "FOOD, [that's what] I love"
