mom2
My 7 year. DD is doing WWE and also practicing handwriting in general. My problem is that we have been doing this over a year now and she does really good at home but when she brings her homework home and journal home from school you wouldn't think she practices handwriting at all. There is spacing, no capital letters at the beginning of a sentence it's awful. I just don't know what to do. Keep working on WWE and our general handwriting? She does handwriting almost everyday for like 20 minutes at home. any suggestions? Thank you
Uff Da!
School could have distractions, she could be pressured to work quickly, there may be incentives to rush through work or it could be happening when she is tired (perhaps after lunch). If she is doing well at home, I would keep nibbling away as you have been.
Arcadia
Usually kids dont have enough time to write neatly or nicely in school. My 7 year old "drops" the capital letters when he is rushing. As long as handwriting at home is good, I won't worry unless her teacher finds it hard to read her school work.
