Natalija
on material covered in previous levels?? Or do the levels review the material in previous years? DD did LL 7 last year but there wasn't nearly as much material covered there as seems to be in CLE Reading. She is a good reader, so that is not an issue. Scrambling to order...SOOOOOOOOOOO very late this year!!!!!!!!:tongue_smilie: Thanks! Natalija
G5052
If you are, then I would do CLE 7 and 8. Keep in mind that this program uses short stories and poems and that each level above 4th grade covers only a semester. For that reason, some folks do one semester of CLE reading and another covering several novel studies. I like that combination and will probably use it down the road with my younger one. Both of mine currently do both CLE reading and their Sonlight readers.
Natalija
That's good to know! Only one semester? Well, I was hoping to work in LL 8 ..or at least some of it in addition to CLE. So, in that case, should I go with CLE 8? Will she lose out on things she missed in CLE7 ? Thanks! Natalija

Yes, CLE reading 7 covers much more than LL&C 7. My older ds used CLE reading 7 (for the first time) the second half of his 7th grade semester and CLE reading 8 in grade 8 spread over the year.
