Nicole M
Not the Augustine that went to Kent, but the one who wrote Confessions and City of God. I can't seem to find any books about him for children. What's up with that? I'm thinking maybe a Catholic book store might have something, perhaps a book about the saints. But I'm not Catholic, and not sure where to start looking. This is for a 6th grader, btw, studying the Middle Ages. Thanks so much, Nicole

Nicole M
The Restless Flame by Louis de Wohl would fit the bill. Janet Thank you. Looks like my library has this, so I'll have a peek. I read Peter Brown's biography of Augustine in college. I fell so in love with the man that I couldn't bring myself to read the last chapter because, well, I knew he'd die. I wasn't ready for that. Nicole M
It's written for that age. I liked it a lot. Come to think of it, I've heard of this one. Now why didn't my Amazon.com advanced searches come up with either of them?! Thank you.
