linders
Ok, it was just for the public high school swim team (SC recently started allowing homeschoolers to participate in extracurriculars). I was impressed - there was an easy-to-complete form (name, age, grade, zoning) for homeschoolers, and other than that just the forms everyone else had to submit. The athletic director barely glanced at the HS form before approving the packet. The coach was more interested in DS's swim experience and goals. And it turned out DS already knew half the kids from other swim venues (he was nervous about that). Still....it was very, very weird to go to a public school for anything! I asked DS if he wanted to look around while we were there. No way, he couldn't get out fast enough.

Dana
Nice! Sounds like some districts work better than others. I'm wondering if in a couple of years my son will run cross country with a high school. Glad it started off well!
