Hello everyone!  You all were so helpful last year when I needed help planning my road trip to Arizona, I thought I'd ask again.  We're starting our trip driving straight up to Beaverton where my DH sister lives, but we will only be there for one night before we continue.  I know we definitely want to do the Space Needle and the Underground tour in Seattle.  That whole area looks so pretty on Google maps, but I really don't know what the 'must see' places are.  We have about 7 days for Seattle/Victoria Island before starting our way back south.  My DH wants to see Vancouver, but I don't know what is there.  Is it just like any other big city?

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated!  Even pointing me to a website or two would be lovely!

I don't have much for suggestions so I'm kinda just bumping this for you.

I will say that one of our regular places to visit is Vancouver and then over to the Island, but for the life of me I can't remember the names of our favorite places. Usually I'm not the one to plan the places we go, I let my brother do that.

What do you like to see and do on vacation?

Some ideas for Vancouver:

Go to Stanley park, see the totem poles, visit the aquarium.http://www.tourismvancouver.com/do/explore/stanley-park-complete-guide/

Take a ride on one of the small ferries from downtown to Granville Island:  http://theaquabus.com/ or http://www.granvilleislandferries.bc.ca/  Great views.

On Granville Island vist the artist's studios, shop, go to the awesome playground the outdoor one, not the indoor one.  Has a free water play area.   http://granvilleisland.com/discover-island/visitors-guide/day-kids

Maybe visit the museum of anthropology at the University of British Columbia http://moa.ubc.ca/experience/exhibit_details.php?id=1052
