KrissiK Posted June 24, 2013 Share Posted June 24, 2013 Has anyone ever read these? I got several of them free on Kindle because they are public domain. I'm intending them for use by DS who will be on the second round of Ancients as a 5th grader when we start back up. I just finished reading the one about Alexander the Great and will start the one about Hannibal soon. And I'm just not sure what to think. I found nothing objectionable (I don't think)' but I'm just a little depressed. Anyhow, I was just wondering if anyone out there has read these books and what you thought about it. I thought this book was good overall and Abbott certainly didn't glorify Alexander at all. Maybe that's why I was a little depressed at the end. It had a sad ending.
