Tracy
I have been reading an abridged version of Swiss Family Robinson with dd8. Dh suggested that in a few years, we could read the original with both kids and use it as a science study. He would like to discuss things like habitats with the kids and investigate whether all of those animals could live in the same habitat, and whether their "inventions" really would work. Has anyone done this? It would be great if someone had already come up with a list of topics.
Berta
Have you looked at Prepare and Pray? It's based on the Swiss Family Robinson. I have a copy of it for sale.
Hunter
Prepare and Pray. It might be more than you are looking for, but...well, it's just an oldschool treasure.
Tracy
Prepare and Pray has a lot of good ideas in the samples, but it definitely has a different focus than science. But there were a couple of things in the samples that would be helpful for us. I am thinking we may end up writing our own.
