Mom0012 Posted May 19, 2013 Share Posted May 19, 2013 Well, I have "heard" that Saxon isn't great for kids who struggle with math, especially in the upper levels. My son has lds and he had great success using R&S 1-5 and part of 6. At that point we switched to CLE for various reasons, which has also been great. He's in CLE 8, and even though many say Saxon is the closest thing to CLE, I'm not planning on having him use it. My dd, on the other hand, is going from CLE 6 to Saxon 8/7 next year. My current plan is to have her use Saxon all the way through high school. So, what I would do would really depend on the child.
