Not only will I save about $45,000 over the life of the loan, we don't have another mortgage payment due until July 1. Just when I was making plans for what to do with that extra cash this month, there are hoses leaking like sieves under my kitchen sink. Neither my husband nor I is handy enough to fix that problem, so here comes the plumber. On the other hand, I'm grateful I have the money to fix it. Still.....sigh.....
