Rebecca VA
I know I'm not answering your question, but I watched the first episode of it yesterday on DVD and discovered I didn't like it!! I really expected to -- and didn't!!! The camera work was amazing, but I could only take so much fancy footage. I wanted to see a story, and I felt that this film was disjointed. Since we already have the DVD, we'll keep on watching to see if it gets better. But yesterday I actually wandered out of the room because the show was annoying me. It's possible I'm just comparing it unfavorably to "Jesus of Nazareth" and "A.D.," both of which we've been watching. "A.D." is magnificent, and it weaves compelling stories together in a way that makes you care deeply about the characters. I wasn't feeling the love with the Bible miniseries.
