eaglei
Need to learn the Kindle as part of my job - worked just fine at work - book downloaded, etc. Now, I just downloaded a book from home - site says it indeed downloaded and I have indeed borrowed it (through a library group) - - - the book is not on the Kindle . . . I feel like banging my head against a wall, but I'm too tired and Kindle isn't worth it . . .

thewaka
Do you have a wi-fi or 3g connection? Does the book require a physical USB connection to the computer (it will say so on the book's kindle page at amazon.com)?
eaglei
Do you have a wi-fi or 3g connection? Does the book require a physical USB connection to the computer (it will say so on the book's kindle page at amazon.com)? Mystery solved . . . We do not have wi-fi at home. I don't know what 3g is . . . I tried the USB connected to the computer, but that didn't work. But - here's what I learned. When I went to work, I took the Kindle and - - - wonder of wonders! - - - the book was there - right on the Kindle where it was supposed to be! Now I can read it anywhere - and am! Ohhhhhhhh - I have SO MUCH to learn . . .
