Perogi
Weve just finished level 2 of L'art de Lire and I'm trying to decide whether or not to proceed with level 3 this year. I seem to recall reading that levels 1 and 2 only take 1/2 a year to complete while levels 3-6 each take a full year. I've spent time on the Nallenart website but have not been able to determine if that's true. Any input from those who have used the program? I could just use Mango language through our library for the remainder of the year if the next level is truly a full year of work. If it is only half a year like the others I'll fit it in by the end of our school year.
MinivanMom
Dd9 just completed level 3 in 1/2 a year. She is on track to finish level 4 during the second half of the year.
Perogi
Okay, so similar amount of work then to levels 1 and 2? 5 stories? We usually did a story a month but with only 4 months left to our school year we can condense a bit.
MinivanMom
Yes, the format is exactly the same.

mommyto4
Levels 1-4 usually take half a year each. My son is almost done Level 5, and it does take longer. We plan to start Level 6 next year and take a year for it too. We supplement with RS and French Smart workbooks.

MinivanMom
Sorry to hijack....I'm curious what RS is... I think she's referring to Rosetta Stone.
