HappyGrace
I'm wondering if I could just take dd through 6 and there is enough from 5 in there that I don't have to do both? This is to take her back and do some mixed review and conceptual thinking during a pre-algebra year.
Chrysalis Academy
Well, MM 5 is when you really focus on fractions - there are two long fractions chapters in there. MM6 just reviews fractions in one shorter chapter. So if she is already solid on fractions, I think your plan could work. I think everything else in MM5 is repeated in MM6. my2boysteacher
I started my 5th grader in MM 5, but he was not being challenged. I skipped him up to MM 6 and he has not had any trouble with the increased difficulty. Occasionally, when working a problem, he will comment on how he did the same thing in MM 4. I really like all the review- my oldest DS needs it, but younger DS does not.
