Michelle My Bell
I am interested in purchasing the Early American Primary pack with the Geography Pack for my 7 and 10 year olds next year. I was thinking of a schedule like this... Monday : Geography (39 lessons) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday : American History (107 lessons) Any thoughts? Mom2OandE
I'd love to know too! We are huge fans. I think with those two it could work.
Michelle My Bell
I changed the days because I realized the Geography guide has fewer lessons. Although, if I wanted it to be more Charlotte Mason like, I could spread one Geography lesson out over a few days. I think they have you reading more than one chapter a day. Michelle My Bell
I just discovered IEW has writing lessons based on the Geography books. hmmm
Sew happily ever after
I will be using the geography and history of science programs next year. I will also be teaching the IEW writing lessons along side both of them. Seems do-able to me. I already own the geo lessons and books and maps. I did purchase the download version of the science guide so that I could preview ALL of it. I wanted to make sure we wouldn't be overwhelmed with doing both programs. coastal academy
These is the exact plan I want to use with my 7 and 9 yr. olds (well, both have late fall birthdays so turning 8 and 10 in the fall). I am going to do early american (probably combining primary and intermediate guides somehow to fit my kids levels) as our main program and geography once a week. I talked to BF and they said that it is common to use both guides at the same time.

helena
We're doing geography and History of Science this year. It's going fine, but I don't think we'll be doubling up BF feet again after this. I think it's too much of the same format. We seriously love both of them though.
