Halcyon
In NYC, you were automatically excused if you were a homeschooling parent. Not so in Florida, as I recently found out. Ugh. Kids will go with DH to work, but I have a lot of patients during the week and THEY have a lot of work which I really don't think DH is up to supervising. I really don't mind fulfilling my civic duty, but really, how are my kids supposed to get their education? Sigh. Maybe I will be dismissed? G5052
You probably will be dismissed. A lot depends on where you live, but most people I know don't end up serving. In my area, being excused depends on the ages of your homeschooled children. I have six more months of that excuse. We'll see. I was excused in 2012, and the last time they asked was 2002. So maybe another decade? Probably not.

theYoungerMrsWarde
Thanks for answering. I hope I get dismissed too. Maybe if I wear a wacky Princess Leia costume..... lol I saw that on Pinterest for the first time yesterday. Or you could do a Bill Engval and say that you don't think a police officer would ever lie for any reason. :D
