Mom in High Heels
So, the army has thrown us another curve ball. Shocking. While VA is still on the table, there is now also a possibility that we may go to Ft. Gordon, GA instead. What can you tell me about hsing in GA? Good? Bad? Ugly? Elfinlady
Homeschooling in GA is pretty easy. Here's a link to the Department of Education's homeschool requirements. http://www.gadoe.org/Curriculum-Instruction-and-Assessment/Pages/Home-Schools.aspx
Cinder
GA just changed this year to a centralized reporting system. We used to report to our local school districts; now we report to the state DOE. All we report is our Letter of Intent and attendance. Attendance reporting also changed from monthly to yearly so we haven't done attendance reporting yet. 180 days are required. An annual assessment is required though not turned in to anyone. Testing is required every 3 years; scores are not turned in. That's it! This website might help too.
Live2Ride
Sounds like us here in Louisiana, but they don't require us to test if you are registered as a private school though 180 days is required (but nothing ever turned in....). I like our system here and sounds like I'd like theirs too!
