Cynful
My youngest son turns two tomorrow. We have his birthday covered but I still need some things for Christmas. I'd like some learning type toys (not school) like Melissa and Doug stuff. What are your favorites that keep your little ones busy (if only for 5 minutes)? Thanks,

Erica in OR
We liked the Lauri toys and puzzles once the kids were a bit older, but they do offer toddler-age stuff, like http://www.amazon.com/Lauri-2116-Toys-Toddler-Tote/dp/B00006JBKT/ref=pd_bxgy_t_text_y. AHASRADA
We have had great success with Leapfrog brand educational toys. We just got our dd2 the Letter Factory tiles, and she loves them! She also has their phone, Violet the talking puppy, Touch Magic number train and picnic basket. Yes, they all need batteries and make noise, but they are really great toys. three4me
Duplos have been a huge hit here, and used in MANY different ways. Also building blocks, wooden puzzles, art supplies, homemade playdough, and books.
