CyndiLJ
I just discovered this series at the library today, and they have an essay series, mystery series, etc. A new volume is published each year, and I was hooked even as I read the editor's introductions, the writing was that good. I wondered if anyone has used these books to create a literature course out of for high school. http://www.amazon.com/Best-American-Short-Stories-Series/dp/0547242107/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1354424310&sr=8-1&keywords=the+best+american+short+stories Thanks, Cindy
PollyOR
Cindy, my memory isn't that great so this might not be the book series. I think I flipped through one of these back when we had a Borders. One of the stories would not have been appropriate for my daughters. Of course, don't throw the baby out with the bath water.
