laughing lioness
I am so thrilled- I have a blog :001_smile:. I've even changed the settings and posted more than once (I know this is old stuff for all of you with lovely blogs but I am feeling pretty 21rst century here -lol!) How do I put my blog in my signature block? When I tried it came out as the http:// address. tia.
GailV
Go to user control panel and choose to edit signature (you probably already know that part). See those icons across the top? Choose the one in the 2nd row that looks like a blue and green globe with something in front of it. Click it. It will give you a box with http: highlighted in blue. Hit delete to get rid of that http: Now, copy and paste your blog addy into that box. Hit okay. It will now appear in your signature box TWICE -- once is the code, the 2nd is highlighted in blue. Delete the blue-highlighted one and replace that with whatever you want to appear in the signature block (like the actual title of the blog sans the http business). Save. ETA: Re-reading what you say happened, I think maybe you aren't replacing the blue-highlighted copy of your address with the title of your choice. You can put anything you want in there, btw. GailV
thank-you, Gail! I'm off to try it... When I clicked on the highlighted goldengrasses in your signature I landed someplace other than your blog. Sometimes when I'm having problems I try previewing it, and then clicking on the highlighted text myself to see where it takes me. Then, if it's wrong, I figure out what happened. Usually it's just some teensy little letter or slash or something that got deleted or added. When you hit Preview (it's the other option next to Save) you'll get the "pretty" copy of your message on top and still be able to see the copy you're working on underneath. You can keep switching things around on the working copy and hitting Preview as much as you'd like until you're satisfied.
