NotSoObvious
My dd needs see hands on practice with fractions. What are your favorite manipulative or games? Thanks.
basschick
Right Start Math has a fraction board. I have the wooden version, which is worth the extra money IMO. We haven't really started on fractions yet (just a here-and-there intro), so I don't know about games, but we use all the Right Start math games, which my kids enjoy. Farrar
I have this book, which someone recommended here not long ago: http://www.amazon.com/Everythings-Coming-Up-Fractions-Cuisenaire/dp/0201480301/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1349312640&sr=8-1&keywords=everything%27s+coming+up+fractions (And, wow, it was NOT that much before. I think it was $10 or something... I mean, come on.) ETA: Here it is in a different printing and a totally affordable and normal price. Amazon's prices sure are wacky.: http://www.amazon.com/Everthings-Coming-Fractions-Cuisenaire-Rods/dp/1569110220/ref=pd_sim_b_8 Anyway, as always, Rosie's Education Unboxed has good ideas too: http://www.educationunboxed.com/fractions.html Edited October 4, 2012 by farrarwilliams

Cynful
We used RightStart but my son got more out of these fraction circles than the fraction board: http://www.amazon.com/Educational-Insights-4804-Magnetic-Fraction/dp/B000QDTZCK/ref=pd_sbs_op_3 Good luck,
