Iamblessed
So, my 17 mo has the flu and I wanted to give him something to help him rehydrate. The commercial pedialyte has such a long list of less than desirable ingredients. I found this receipe for homemade pedialyte and used this on him and he was able to keep most of it down if given a little at a time. I wanted to share this and also ask for prayer for complete healing for my little one :001_smile: Homemade pedialyte: 4 cups water 3 Tbsps honey 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda Mix all ingredients well. Can be refrigerated if you want to serve cold. They also said you can add a 1/2 packet of kool-aid for flavor but my little one liked it room temperature just the way it was :)
Cricket
Thanks for sharing! The recipe I use is 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp light salt (potassium chloride/sodium chloride mixture) plus one packet Kool-Aid. Yours sounds like it is good too!
