Engino model sets?

Does anyone know if the larger sets (like this one)

and- What do you think of Engino and their instruction manuals? How do they compare to Knex?

I bought some Engino sets: simple machines, pulleys, levers and gears as a supplement to BFSU2, and I was not impressed. They are hard on the fingers, and don't always work very well. The gears one was the best of the bunch. The pulleys kit is misleading. There aren't enough pieces in the box to make the block and tackle, which is the most interesting use of pulleys, IMO. Some of the machines are impressive, but have little educational value, IMO.

 

Before you invest in the more expensive kits, I suggest you try it out in person at a store if possible, or just skip it.
