Mom22ns Posted August 29, 2012 Share Posted August 29, 2012 I asked you how to help dd and you guys gave me some great feedback. Today dd (who got braces Monday) came to school grumpy. She "didn't get" math and I had her stand to work on the white board until she had it. Then we went onto science. I saw her glaze over as we read the first small chunk of textbook and I tried to explain the concept. Then I thought of a great illustration and drew it for her. I saw the lightbulb come on and even got a laugh. By now, her grumpy mood was gone. We read about and discussed gas laws and did two demonstrations to reinforce the concepts. She got it and had fun and I maintained my cool all the way!
